The black belt is the highest accord of the martial arts. The belt signifies the ultimate mastery of a specified art, acquisition only through extreme discipline, vigorous training and mastery of skills. Obtaining a hardened determined mindset and motivation has proven the only way to proceed forward towards the goal of achieving black belt status.
Using the Internet or local references, determine a gym in order to get in premium physical fitness. Compare fitness gyms in the areas of cost, expenses, distance and efficiency. If budget becomes an obstruction, purchase running shoes, free weights and an aerobics ball, if not already in possession. Research and develop a routine that involves extensive cardiovascular strain, aerobic conditioning and muscular atrophy. This routine when effectively followed, shall result in a fitness needed to adventitiously practice and master martial arts. In order to maintain optimal fitness while training, a strict, healthy and well balanced diet must also be regimented. The diet should consist of a constant balanced intake of carbohydrates, vitamins, fats and proteins.
The world has a vast number of martial arts and disciplines to offer that are home to various countries and nations. The arts may include grappling, submissions or striking in the form of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Americanized Kijukenpo or Korean Taekwondo. Research the various arts and disciplines and select a martial discipline that sound most interesting, efficient or practical.
Locate a local or distant training facility, dojo or gym that instructs in the art form chosen. Compare the facilities based on the criteria of price range, class sizes and prestige. Attend training in the martial art regularly whether it is on a walk in and train basis or scheduled training sessions. If the discipline focuses on striking, invest in a striking, kicking or punching bag. Follow the same process of finding the right gym as needed to find the right tools, including prestige and price of the equipment. If the art focuses on submission and grappling, obtain a training partner to spar and train with when not training with the instructor in order to reinforce training.
When in training, the instructor will constantly illustrate several basic concepts of defense or attacks, which the martial art discipline will prove to base the focus around. The concepts are to be mastered and constantly practiced until they become second nature. As the training level in the art escalates the process of mastering the techniques and concepts will not, only more in-depth and complex.
